Viv is a clinical pharmacist prescriber and is regulated by the General Pharmaceutical Council. He has worked in the NHS for over 28 years and has been practising full-time in his own facial aesthetics clinic, Skinpharma Aesthetics in Stockton-on-Tees, for the last 5-6 years. This followed work in community pharmacy and GP practice work within Hambleton, Richmondshire & Whitby CCG.
With his persistence in improving his professional development, he carried out his Masters in Clinical Pharmacy Practice, looking at how information technology training could be applied more effectively in the work of clinicians. He then became a committee member on the South Tees Research Ethics Committee, which involved assessing the medical research proposals of healthcare practitioners across the north-east of England.
Viv has completed foundation, advanced and masterclass toxin and dermal filler training with Zack Ally at Derma Medical, London. He's also undergone Masterclass lip augmentation training with Julie Horne in Norway. He's also a member of the Complications in Medical Aesthetic Collaborative (CMAC) which is involved in diagnosing and managing complications in medical aesthetics.
Currently, he's investigating the use of computer generated imaging (CGI) in facial aesthetic ultrasound scanning. This should help to improve facial ultrasound training and, ultimately, the safety of patients undergoing aesthetic treatments.
His aim is to always treat his patients safely and effectively to help them feel happier and more self confident about their appearance and about themselves.
